The easiest to install brake controller is definitely going to be the Curt Echo # C51180, since it just plugs into the 7 way trailer connector on your 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk Elite, and then you'll plug the trailer's 7 way into that. The Echo provides you with proportional braking in the same manner that the most popular controllers today do and doesn't require anything be installed into the vehicle- so you can use it on any vehicle with a 7 way. The only required piece of equipment is going to be a Bluetooth enabled smart phone running either iOS 8.0 or newer, or Android 4.4 or newer.
If you wanted to go with a more traditional brake controller, then I recommend the Tekonsha P3 # 90195, which can be used with the plug in adapter # 3014-P to allow for an easier installation than hard-wiring. This is also a controller that provides proportional control for your trailer brakes and comes with an easy to read LCD screen.
I've linked review videos of these controllers for you to check out.
