How to Mount the D-Ring to a MC10 Motorcycle Trailer for Strapping in a Honda Goldwing
Question:
How to install the D ring to the alluminion deck?

You would need to drill a hole that is 4-3/8 inches in diameter for the base to fit through and then use nuts and bolts appropriate for the surface it is mounted to in order to secure it.
It is recommended to use the backing plate # BP06 under the surface where the D-Ring is installed to maximize its capacity and offer support. In order to drill out the hole you can use a large enough hole saw drill bit or use the backing plate as a template and a pencil to mark the diameter needed and use a cutting tool capable of making a hole if a hole saw bit is not available.
I would recommend you check the underside of the aluminum deck before you drill to determine the best possible location that will not interfere with any bracing or other trailer components.
