Space Needed On Trailer Frame for Curt C17332 Short Arm Weight Distribution
Question:
Will the C17332 work for my application with the top mounted hangers? Measuring along the length of one beam, from the front of the V-front box to the center of the ball socket, it measures 31-3/4inch on the outside and 29-3/4inch on the inside. See picture. im guessing its really close. Thanks!

Expert Reply:
The Curt # C17332 Short-Arm distance from the center of the trailer ball to the approximate center of the frame mounted chain hanger would be about 28-3/8 inches, so it'll just fit in the 2-3/4 inch space you have available. The system is designed for trailers with a loaded and ready to tow tongue weight below 600 lbs. The trailer ball is not included, for a 2-5/16 inch ball, you'll need # 19286 or # A-90 for a 2 inch ball.
