The Thule OutWay # TH45JV, is listed as a fit for the 2007 BMW 5 Series sedans and wagons. I checked with Thule to be sure. One thing you will need to be careful of is leaving marks on the vehicle. With a trunk mount bike rack you will want to make sure the vehicle and rack are clean where they come into contact with each other. Applying a coat of wax will also help prevent any possible scratches or marring.

If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical mens bike) I recommend using an adapter bar # TH982XT. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and provide better ground clearance. I have included a link to a video that shows how the adapter works.
