Straps For Securing an ATV/UTV to Trailer for Towing
Question:
Looking at item 34414 Erickson retractable Ratchet straps 2” x6ft. Can these be permanently mounted on my aluminum trailer to tie down the front of a side by side UTV. Approx. 1300 to 1400 lbs.

The Erickson Re-Tractable Ratchet Straps # 34414 are capable of being mounted permanently. These are great straps and the push button retract is a great feature. Unfortunately I do not recommend permanently mounting any material straps as they do deteriorate from UV damage and weather.
For your situation I recommend the Pack'em Wheel Tie-Down Kit # PK-WTD. This anchors your UTV at the wheels allowing your suspension to move and not risking damage to the suspension components by overloading them.
