Parts Needed to Swap Tekonsha P3 Into 1995 Chevy K-Series Pickup  

Question:

I have a p3 brake controller that is in a 2016 4 runner. I want to be able to move the same controller to a 1995 k2500 that has another brand controller that is not as good as your. I have the k2500 direct wired as it is not equipped with the plug ins from the factory. I would also need to get another mounting bracket for the P3

In order to use a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 in a 1995 K2500 pickup, you can use the Replacement Brake Control Plug-In Harness for Tekonsha and Draw-Tite Brake Controller 12" Long # 20127 to hardwire the controller in. To mount the controller you'll want to use the Replacement Mounting Bracket Kit for Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # TK5906. This would give you the parts you'll need to use it in both your 4Runner and the K Series.
