Poor Connection Between Camera & Monitor of Furrion Vision S FOS05TASF

Question:

I just installed the system today and am having very poor results. I can’t seem to get a good wireless connection between the camera and the monitor. It will connect briefly and then drop. I tried driving the vehicle around to make sure there wasn’t anything causing interference in my driveway but no luck. It works about one second out of every minute. We only have a 21’ trailer so I don’t think distance is the issue. Please help! : Is our unit defective? Thanks!

So there are a number of different reasons why the signal is not working with your Furrion Vision S Camera System # FOS05TASF.

It's pretty unlikely the unit is defective (though not outside of the realm of possibility) but first there's some things you will want to check. Since you only have a 21 foot trailer we can rule out distance, but lot of times what happens is the antenna on the camera itself will be either not positioned correctly or not fully attached. First, make sure the antenna is fully upright, but also make sure it is tightened on the camera. The antenna twists on and off, so it could have gotten loose somehow, which would be why the camera seems to work very infrequently.

You mentioned interference and drove around, but were there power lines everywhere you were driving? The reason I ask is that power lines can cause some interference as well. The other thing that can do it are large objects between the camera and monitor so see if there's anything large inside the trailer that may be hampering the system.

Lastly, I recommend unpairing and then pairing the system again. To unpair, press the button at the bottom of the camera and hold it down for 15 seconds; then you can go through and then pair the Furrion Vision S Camera System # FOS05TASF.
