E-Bike Rack Availability that has 80 lb Capacity
Question:
I am looking for a bike rack we can mount on the rear door of our 2016 Sprinter 3500 high roof. This one Thule Elite Van XT 2 Bike Rack for Sprinter Rear Door Item # TH302043 would work except we have e-bikes that exceed the weight limit. Is there a model not necessarily Thule brand that would support e-bikes weighing close to 80lbs each? Or is that simply too much weight to put on the van door? Thank you.

The e-bike rack we offer that can handle an 80 lb e-bike is the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bike # HLY74FR which is a hitch mounted bike rack solution.
You'd need to have a hitch installed on your 2016 Sprinter like with the part # 75549.
There isn't a door mounted option with enough weight capacity and even if there was that would be a lot of weight to have on the rear door.
