Question:

I’m interested in an independent trailer suspension. My trailer I a 16 foot 1968 Oaisis with a axel. It is in great condition but would like more ride height for off road camping, better handling and clearance for my black water tank.

It sounds like the Timbren Axle-Less Suspenion would be perfect for you as they are available with lift spindles, and the progressive rate AEON main springs do a great job to absorb road shock and offer a smoother ride than leaf spring suspension.

The correct system will be dependent on the GVWR of your 1968 Oasis 16' trailer.

The most likely options are the 3500lb option with 2" lift spindles # TASR35HDS07 or 4" lift spindles # ASR35HDS02, or the 5200lb option with 2" lift # TASR5200S05 or 4" lift # TASR5200S03.

Each of these options use Hub and Drums # 8-201-9UC3-EZ, electric braking assemblies # AKEBRK-6 or idler hubs # 8-213-5UC1-EZ. These options all use the 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern so if that does not match your current wheels you would need to replace them. I link our selection of wheels with the 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern for you to take a look at if needed.

If you can confirm the GVWR of your trailer I would be happy to confirm the best option for your trailer.

I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
