Bike Rack Similar to Thule DoubleTrack that Can Carry Fat Bikes

Question:

I am potentially purchasing a Thule 990xt bike rack from a friend. However the current wheel straps arent long enough to secure a 29x2.4wheel/tire setup his bike. My bike however is running a 29x2.6wheel/tire setup. Im looking to see if there are strap extensions or maybe replacement straps that will allow me to secure larger tires? The current straps measure 15.5 Regards

The Thule Doubletrack # TH990XT you have is only compatible with a max tire width of 2-1/2" and unfortunately doesn't have the ability to upgrade to cradles that fit with fat tires. With that being said, the Curt 2 Bike Platform Rack for Fat Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount - Tilting # C18085-FB is a similar bike rack that is compatible with tires that are up to 4.88 inches in width and would work great.
