2020 Audi Q3 Question on 1-1/4" & 2" Receiver
Question:
I have an Audi Q3. My dealer said a hitch for a bike rack would have a 1 1/4 opening but the Stealth Hitch you recommend has a 2. Concerned.

I understand your concern since you were told by your Audi dealer something different, but bike racks are manufactured in both 1-1/4" & 2" receivers. So you are just fine, simply select a bike rack that is for a 2" receiver or use a 1-1/4" to 2" adaptor. Many bike racks such as the Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR fit both 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches. This bike rack comes with an easy-to-use adapter sleeve used to convert the 1-1/4" shank for use with 2" hitches.
Class I and Class II trailer hitches typically have a 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver opening. There are a few Class II hitches that have 2" x 2" receiver openings, but this is not common. 2" x 2" trailer hitch receivers are the most common type. Hitches found on most trucks, SUVs, and many full-size sedans have a 2" receiver.
