Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver And Bike Rack For 2021 Mazda 3 Hatchback

Your 2021 Mazda 3 hatchback can certainly have a hitch-mounted bike rack. For a trailer hitch receiver (if you do not have one) you will want to go with Curt 1-1/4" hitch receiver # C98BR. The tongue weight capacity for this receiver is 200lbs which you do not want to exceed. For this receiver you will be limited to a 2-bike carrier due to it being a Class 1 hitch.
In regard to the bike rack, I really like the Swagman Trailhead 2 Bike Rack # S63360. This will fit your Class 1 receiver with the 1-1/4" opening and will allow 2 bikes to be mounted. The weight capacity is 35lbs per bike and there is a built-in tilt mechanism that allows access to the trunk on most vehicles. The Swagman Trailhead secures the bikes by the frame; if you plan on transporting women's, children's, or full-suspension bikes then it is recommended to use Adapter Bar # 64005.
Last but not least, I recommend adding the Locking Anti-Rattle, Threaded Hitch Pin # S64029 which will keep your bike rack safe and secured to your vehicle's hitch receiver and also reduce wobble and vibration. I have attached demonstration videos for you to check out.
