Trailer Hitch Receiver Fit on 2013 VW Jetta SportWagen TDI

Question:

Hi, Im looking for a hitch for my 2013 Jetta Sportwagen TDI. Your site shows a few, but i am interested in Curt 11474. However, for some reason it says excludes TDI model. Can this really be true? Can this be just a glitch, or theres indeed a difference in TDIs rear structure?

It is not a glitch, and I did confirm with both manufacturers that the Curt Trailer Hitch # C11474 does not fit the TDI model of 2013 Volkswagen Jetta SportWagen, and the correct fit for a TDI is the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7284.

The TDI does have a different undercarriage, and the difference between the hitches is how they are designed, with the Curt hitch bracket jutting out to the left which would cause interference, while the EcoHitch is configured so as not to interfere.
