Recommended Weight Distribution Shank 8 Rise To Level 2020 Ford Explorer With Trailer
Question:
I have a 2020 Ford Explorer Limited with 2 Hitch Receiver and set up for trailer brakes. My Explorer has a receiver height of 20 to the top. My Trailer has a 28.5 measurement to the bottom of the trailer coupler. I am looking at your PH67SR and the C17062 along with the 5535 I would like to confirm if this is a good fit for what i will need to make this a safe solution for my Explorer.

It looks like you have a pretty good plan, but I recommend one change.
I recommend using the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution Shank for 2" Hitches - 12" Long - 7 Hole Adjustment # BXW4001 with the Curt MV Weight Distribution System w/ Friction Sway Control - Round Bar - 10K GTW, 1K TW # C17062 to get the 8" rise you need to level your trailer. The # PH67SR is not rated for use with a weight distribution system.
Keep in mind that before deciding on a weight distribution system you will want to confirm the total tongue weight of your setup. Total tongue weight is the tongue weight of your fully loaded and ready to tow trailer plus the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of your 2020 Ford Explorer Limited. Using a tongue weight scale like the # e99044 is the easiest way to get an accurate tongue weight measurement, but there are other ways outlined in the included help article.
As long a your total tongue weight is between 800-1000lbs the # C17062 will work perfectly for you. If your tongue weight is not in this range just let me know and I would be happy to make a recommendation for you.
Moving on to the trailer brake controller since you mentioned that your Explorer is setup for trailer brakes you will need the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers - Ford, Lincoln, Mercury # 3035-P which will plug into the factory trailer brake controller port under the dash which is installed on the models with a factory 4-way flat or 7-way connector.
This will plug directly into the Brake EVN # TK63VR taking care of all of the required wiring.
I included videos for each of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
