Could Kuat Transfer 3 Bike Rack Allow Tailgate of 2015 Toyota Tundra to Fold Down
Question:
Im looking for a hitch mounted, 3 bike, platform rack for my 2015 Toyota Tundra. Debating Rocky Mounts Monorail 3 vs Kuat Transfer V2. Im looking for a rack that will allow me to put the tailgate fully down without touching the rack when its installed with no bikes mounted. Do either of these fit that criteria? At any time I could be carrying: mens hybrid, womens road bike, womens mountain bike, womens cruiser, kids hybrid 24in wheels. Thanks

On the Kuat Transfer 3 bike rack part # KU24FR the tallest portion of it would be 10-1/2 inches above the top of your hitch opening so you can measure to see if it would allow the tailgate to fold down or not.
Due to the much taller wheel cradles of the MonoRail bike racks I do not believe this would allow the clearance you are looking for.
