Recommend Roof Rack System and Pioneer Platform for a 2008 Jeep Commander

I have a 08 Jeep XK Commander, will the Rhino platform rack be compatible, does it require a kit?

I have a solution for you.

First, though, there is not a custom-fit Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform available for the 2008 Jeep XK Commander. So, you will need to use a roof rack and a universal-fit Pioneer Platform.

For the roof rack system, if you do not have rails, then I recommend the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars, part # RRVA126B-2. These are aero-style crossbars, making them perfectly compatible with a universal Pioneer. These bars will connect to your naked roof with the RCH Legs, part # RRRCH4, and the Custom RCP Fit Kit, part # RRRCP13-BK. I've linked to a video review of this rack for you to look at.

For the Pioneer Platform, you can use part # RR42115BF. It measures 58" long x 47" wide and clamps to the Vortex bars. I've linked to a video review of this rack as well.
