According to the owner's manual, the 2013 Ford C-Max is capable of being flat towed but you'll want to follow the procedures outlined in the owner's manual.

For base plates, I'd recommend the # 524432-1 from Roadmaster, for a tow bar, use their Falcon All-Terrain tow bar, part # RM-522. The Falcon All-Terrain won't bind, which makes connecting and disconnecting much quicker and easier if the pavement isn't level. For safety cables, use # RM-643.

To wire the taillights so they work in tandem with those on your motorhome, you'll want to use # RM-15247.
For a supplemental braking system, you can choose a permanently mounted system, but I prefer a portable system for two reasons. 1) You'll avoid the time consuming and expensive installation of a permanent system and 2) If you want to switch to a different vehicle in a year or two, the system is very easily swapped. For a portable system, I'd recommend the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR. You'll also need the # RM-9332 12-v outlet.

Finally, when the base plates are installed, they'll be about 15-1/2 inches above the ground. If the height of the receiver on your motorhome is more than 3 inches higher or lower than this, you'll need a high/low adapter to bring it within that range. I'll link to our selection of adapters and to an article that explains how to figure out if you need one.

I've also linked to some videos that you'll hopefully find helpful.
