Issues with Exhaust Making Contact with Hitch on a 2020 Dodge Journey

Question:

Put a Curt #C13201 2 rec hitch on our 2020 Dodge Journey. Muffler hit hitch during acceleration and hitting bumps. Theres a wedge comes with the hitch to install between hitch and frame. Its placed correctly. I used Hillbilly Engineering and put a 3/4 dia bolt in the back rubber hanger. This gave it enough clearance to stop the bumping. Was wondering if anyone else had a similar experience. Hitch installed very easily. Spent as much time taking muffler loose and rehanging as bolting on hitch.

I'm sorry to hear you are having this experience with this hitch # C13201. You can make a few minor adjustments exhaust hangers to allow more space between the exhaust and the hitch. You can do this by rotating the hanger or sliding the hanger on the pins so that it is further away from the hitch. We have not had many issues with this hitch making contact with other components on the 2020 Dodge Journey.
