RV Roof Vent to Replace Existing AC Unit
Question:
Im wanting to remove my non-working roof-mounted AC unit on my pop up camper and replace it with just a vent for weight savings. Would #CAM40480 be a direct replacement fit for the hole from the AC unit? Thanks

Expert Reply:
Most RV air conditioners use a standard 14-1/4 x 14-1/4 inch opening, which is what the Camco # CAM40480 is compatible with. You can easily confirm that this is the case with your existing unit by removing the air handler or grating and measuring the rough opening through the roof.
I'd also recommend an install kit like part # 344270KITW.
I've linked to an article that explains how to install a roof vent.
