Roof Rack Setup For 2017 BMW 5 Series 535i GT xDrive

Question:

need to know for certain which roof rack model will fit my 2017 BMW 535i GT xdrive. It seems not all roof racks that fit 2017 BMW 535i xdrive sedans will fit my GT. Looking for in channel bolt connection for roof rack mounts. not external mounts that grab the door frame. thanks

I confirmed with Thule that Thule Wing Bar Evo 118 Aluminum Cross Bars - 47" Long # TH711200 will work for your 2017 BMW 5 Series GT. You will need Foot Pack # TH460R and Fit Kit # THKIT3169 to install the cross bars onto your roof's fixed mounting points. This will not clamp to the door frame of your BMW.

This is a low-profile aerodynamic cross bar which will be quiet and reduce wind noise/vibration. This cross bar setup has a weight capacity of 165lbs and has a built-in top channel to install channel-mounted accessories. You can mount many accessories such as the Thule Canyon XT Roof Mounted Cargo Carrier # TH859XT or the Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box - 18 cu ft - Black Glossy # TH629806.

While we do not currently have an installation video of this cross bar kit being installed on a 2017 BMW 5 Series Gt, I did go ahead and attach an installation video showing this kit being installed on a different vehicle.
