Brake Controller and Trailer Hitch for 2004 Chevy Silverado 1500
Question:
Trying to identify the towing rating of my truck. Ive done lots of googleing and found ranges from 3000 to 9000 pounds. Can you help recommend a hitch, brake controller, and the max tow rating? 2004 Chevy silverado, V6 engine, regular cab, long bed.

The Curt hitch part # C14332 is a great option for your 2004 Chevy Silverado as it has more capacity than it sounds like you'd ever need and installs easily.
For a brake controller the Brake EVN # TK63VR is a really great proportional option that installs easily in your truck with the custom fit harness part # 3015-P.
I attached an install video for this for you to check out as well.
Depending on how your truck is equipped it looks like it would have a capacity between 8,400 and 9,000 lbs. You can contact a local GM dealer to have them verify this with your VIN as well.
