We can get your 2019 Honda Pilot set up with a trailer hitch, 7-way, and brake controller, and let's go ahead and start with the hitch and 4-way wiring harness:
- etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98840
- T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 7-Way Trailer Connector # 118286
Even though the title says "Factory Tow Package" you don't need to have the factory connector; your Pilot will have tow package wiring that the harness plugs into, and you'll add some fuses (which are included with the connector), and that's it. So this will be the most simple way to add a 7-way to your Pilot, and you can mount with the Mounting Bracket # PK12711U.
Then for a brake controller, I highly recommend the Brake EVN # TK63VR.
I recommend the I-Command because it is a great value due to its unique combination of quality and cost-effectiveness. The I-Command is going to give you smooth braking, is easy to use, and has a bright display that is simple to read and understand. For a combination of quality, reliability, and price, there really isn't a better option than the I-Command. The only other thing you will need to install it is the Wiring Harness # 20127.
