Can 7-Way Connector Power A 2500lb Winch?
Question:
Is the 12 volt constant power pin able to safely power a 2500 pound winch, or do I need to run a power wire directly to my truck battery?

I have another option for you, but the 12v power circuit of the 7-way connector on your 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 does not have enough power output to power your 2500lb winch as it is designed for powering lights in a trailer, or maintain a battery on a trailer.
To power the winch you would want to use the Bulldog Winch Rear Wiring Kit - Quick Connect to Terminal End - 2 Gauge - 24' Long # BDW20207 which uses 2-gauge wire capable of sending enough power to the which. This kit will connect directly to the battery of your vehicle.
I included a video of the # BDW20207 for you to take a look at.
