Dual Hitch Adapter and E-Bike Rack for Use with 2020 Subaru Outback and Camper
Question:
I have a 6Wide Little Guy tear trailer that I pull with a 2020 Suburu Outback. I have a Curt CU89FR hitch Receiver. I would like to be able to also carry two ebikes but would rather not hitch them to the tear though it has a receiver. Can I use the D210 multi use ball mount for a bike rack? And what bike rack would you recommend for two ebikes weighing 110-120 lbs together? thanks

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Curt ball mount adapter part # D210 that you referenced could be used for your application but you'd need to keep in mind that using an adapter like this does cut the tongue weight capacity of the Curt hitch # C67JR by 50 percent.
For a great e-bike rack for carrying two e-bikes the Thule EasyFold XT part # TH903202 would be a great option. It has the needed weight capacity, comes with a ramp setup for easier loading/unloading, has frame clamps that easily can fit the e-bike frame styles, and also can fold down smaller for easier storage.
