Troubleshooting 12 Volt Accessory Circuit Not Active on 2002 Chevy Silverado
Question:
Trailer 7-pin question. Have a 02 chevy truck and have pulled an 96 Nash for years, no problem. Just traded up to a 21 Dutchman and dealer tells me I am not charging coach batteries through the 7-pin connection. Always thought I was in the past. Is there something wrong with the wiring or do I need an aux. setup to charge coach batteries while driving? Please advise.

On your generation of GM truck the 12 volt accessory circuit wasn't/isn't always active. Under the hood there are a few connections that need to be made to allow that circuit to be active so that you can charge the trailer battery.
If you check out the help article I attached you can see exactly what it would take to activate the circuit.
