What Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack is Recommended or a 2005 Volkswagen Beetle

The hitches you offer for New VW Beetle Convertible 2005 GLS are 1-1/4 and this bike rack is 2. Can you please put together a set hitch/rack with all I need to put them together. Thks,

We only offer Class I hitches for your 2005 Volkswagen Beetle. Because of the weight capacity limit and leverage of the weight of a bike rack and bikes, you can only carry 2 bikes with a Class I hitch.

I would recommend the Draw-Tite Class I receiver, part # 24679.

We have many different bike racks that are compatible with a Class I receiver. I would recommend the Swagman Titan, part # S63400. The Titan includes features that are usually found on higher-priced racks, like an anti-rattle hitch pin, ant-sway bike cradles and an integrated locking cable.

I have provided a link to our selection of 2 bike racks that are compatible with a Class I receiver (there are a few that can accommodate 3 or 4 bikes, but in a Class I you would still be limited to carrying 2).
