Recommended Weight Distribution and Sway Control System for Lance 1575 Trailer
Question:
Looking to purchase your best recommendation for WD hitch with sway control for Lance 1575 trailer paired to 2021 Kia Telluride. Kia Telluride has 5000 lb towing capacity with 500 lbs max on tongue. The GVWR for the trailer is 3700 lbs. We would like the best set-up for driving stability and safety. Thanks

You will want to choose a weight distribution hitch where your loaded tongue weight, which for a Lance 1575 with a GVWR of 3700-lbs should be no more than 555-lbs and will most likely be closer to 400-lbs. Based off those specs I recommend using the Strait-Line Weight Distribution System w Sway Control - Round Bar - 10,000 lbs GTW, 600 lbs TW # RP66086, which will give you really great sway control while towing with your 2021 Kia Telluride. This system uses double cam shocks to prevent sway events before they start, so you're going to have a really safe and stable towing experience. This system comes with a weight distribution shank included but you will need a hitch ball with a 1-1/4" diameter shank like the 2" Hitch Ball - 1-1/4" Diameter x 2-5/8" Long Shank - Chrome - 10,000 # A-90.
I've linked a review video of this system for you to check out, but in my opinion it's the best setup for sway control for a smaller trailer and I think it's going to do a great job for you.
