Fit of Rhino Rack RR576 Ski/Snowboard Carrier on OEM Crossbars of 2016 Ford Explorer

Is this compatible with the roof rack cross bars that come on the 2016 Ford Explorer Limited? 5 door model

It's nearly impossible to find the dimensions of OEM roof rack crossbars on a given vehicle unless they're manufactured by a known 3rd party company like Thule. However, we do know that the Rhino-Rack # RR576 Ski/Board carrier will fit crossbars up to 3-3/4 inches wide x 7/8 of an inch tall, which is pretty large. The dimensions of the factory crossbars on your Explorer should be smaller than that. If they are, the # RR576 would work perfectly for you.

You might also be interested in a step like the # RL100660. This step slips through the striker of your vehicle door, and provides a convenient step for easily reaching roof mounted items on a taller vehicle like a Ford Explorer. The step is constructed of aluminum, has a 400 lb weight capacity and is small enough that you could stash it just about anywhere in the vehicle.
