Will the Converter Box Be Exposed After Wiring a 2001 Kia Sportage
Question:
Is the black box exposed? How does the flat connector get outside the vehicle?
asked by: Ken A
Expert Reply:
No, the black box (converter) of part # C55371 will not be exposed. When the wiring is complete you will mount the converter inside the drivers side electrical access compartment with the double stick foam tape that is provided.
After installation is complete you can store the 4 way connector behind the access panel and when needed route it out the rear door. The doors weather stripping will protect the wiring when in use, you will just need to be careful not to let it get involved with the door latch or hinges.
