Does Swagman XTC Bike Rack Need an J-Pin Anti Rattle Device
Question:
Hello. I am planning to purchase the Draw-Tite Max-frame #75876 tow hitch with Swagman XTC-2 #S64670 bike rack for my 2017 Subaru Forester 2.5i Premium. Will the j-pin #63201 have the same locking and anti-rattle capability as the Swagman #S64031? I would like to use the j-pin for other accessories in the future.

Expert Reply:
The J-pin anti-rattle device # 63201 is a great solution for preventing movement for hollow shank hitch accessories but the Swagman XTC # S64670 has a thread hitch pin/shank design so it would not be compatible with that nor would it be needed based on that.
The J-pin # 63201 is no longer available.
