Best Weight Distribution System With Built-In Sway Control For 500-800Lbs Tongue Weight
Question:
I am looking for a weight distribution hitch with integrated sway control for a 2021 Crossroads Zinger 18BH, weighing about 3300# empty and about 4500# loaded, with a tongue weight of 502#-800# loaded, pulling with 1997 Chevy 1/2 ton. Could you please recommend a hitch for me.

I recommend going with Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control - Trunnion - 8,000 lbs GTW, 800 lbs TW # FA92-00-0800. This system has a tongue weight range of 400-800lbs and gross towing weight of 8,000lbs, which will be plenty for your setup. It does have built-in sway control; this is provided by friction in the L brackets when the spring bars begin to move. The resistance created by this action limits the movement of the spring bar, thus preventing side-to-side movement of the trailer. I have attached a detailed demonstration video for this weight distribution system.
The adjustable shank is included, however, you will need to buy a hitch ball separately. For 2" use # EQ91-00-6080; for 2-5/16" use # EQ91-00-6100.
If you think you will likely be over 800lbs tongue weight, go with the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control - Round - 10,000 lbs GTW, 1,000 lbs TW Item # FA94-00-1000
