Question:
Hi I have a 2016 Jeep wrangler Willys with a 3.5inch lift and 35 inch tires. we also have the Malone micro sport xt trailer. I have a Bestop high rock 4x4 rear bumper with 2inch hitch. I need to find the right receiver and 2inch ball. Thanks

In order to determine what ball mount you're going to need you'll need to measure from the top of the inside of the receiver to the ground, and then measure on the trailer from the bottom of the coupler to the ground. You'll then take those two measurements and subtract the vehicle measurement from the trailer measurement to determine how much of a rise/drop you're going to need. I've linked one of our helpful articles on this process for you to check out.
At the end of the day you're likely going to need something like the Curt # C45100, which is a fixed ball mount with a 7" drop; this ball mount requires a hitch ball with a 1" diameter shank like the # 40038. You could also go with a fully adjustable ball mount like the B&W Tow and Stow # BWTS10040B which also can be used with up to a 7" drop and comes with both 2" and 2-5/16" hitch balls included.
I also recommend adding a locking hitch pin like the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2" Hitches - Flush - 2-5/8" Span - Chrome # e98880 to keep these ball mounts attached to your vehicle. This locking hitch pin is designed for 2" hitches like the one found on your 2016 Wrangler.
I've linked the help article that I mentioned on measuring for a rise/drop ball mount, as well as our entire selection of ball mounts for you to check out.
