In order to use a locking hitch pin on the etrailer # e98865 you'll need one that has a span of at least 2-5/8"; we normally recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2" Hitch - Flush - 2-5/8" Span - Stainless Steel # e98882 which would work well on this hitch or almost any other 2" hitch.
