How To Attach Ski/Rod Carrier to Cargo Basket

Can your Rhino-Rack Ski and Fishing Rod Carrier - Locking - 2 Skis or 4 Fishing Rods be mounted onto the top of a roof rack cargo baskets front and rear edge?

If you wish to use both a ski/rod carrier and a cargo basket I do have options for you but you'd need a certain type of cargo basket, one that lets you mount crossbars on top so you can then attach the ski/rod carrier. The Yakima OffGrid Roof Cargo Basket part # Y07138 is a great option for this that comes with the accessory bars needed to mount a ski/rod carrier like the Rhino-Rack Ski and Fishing Rod Carrier part # RR572. There's also an extension available, the 18" Extension for Yakima OffGrid part # Y07108.

You wouldn't be able to just mount the ski/rod carrier directly to the cargo basket side rails.
