Which Tekonsha Trailer Brake Controller Wiring Harness for 2018 Toyota Tacoma
Question:
I have a 2018 Tacoma TRD Off Road with the factory tow package. Im looking into buying a 2 axle camper so doing research on trailer brake controllers. Im used to the stock trailer brake controller and the information displays on a 1 ton Chevy work truck, and I think the Tekonsha P3 is the direction I want to go. My main question is about the wiring connector I need to tie the P3 into the factory wiring in my Tacoma. It looks like there are 2 part numbers 3031 or 3031-P. Which one do I need? Also, does the P3 part number 90195 come with the mount and everything else I should need to install in my truck?

To install the Tekonsha P3, part # 90195 (great choice, by the way) in your 2018 Toyota Tacoma you'll need the # 3031-P wiring harness that would plug in to the factory connector located behind the driver's side kick panel as shown in the provided photo. The linked video also shows where the connector is located.
