The Thule Parkway you mentioned is a fit for a Class II hitch with a 1-1/4 inch by 1-1/4 inch receiver opening.

Since a BMW X3 would have a 2 inch by 2 inch Class III hitch, a bike rack like the Thule Hitching Post Pro, part # TH934XTR would be a better choice. The Hitching Post Pro is compatible with both Class II 1-1/4 inch or 2 inch receivers. The rack also offers better anti-sway cradles that will prevent the bikes from swaying back and forth during transport and banging into each other or the rear of the vehicle.
