Can 4-Pole to 7-Pole 37185 be Used Without Any Other Wiring But 4-Way

Can the Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole and 4-Pole #37185 be used simply to adapt from a 4 Flat to a 7 Blade on the trailer and not use any of the other wiring?

The short answer is yes, you can simply plug in your 4-way to the Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole and 4-Pole # 37185 and not use any other wiring. Just keep in mind the only functions that will work are the same functions the 4-way gives. If your trailer does have electric brakes that you want to utilize, you will need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat # ETBC7.

This includes the same adapter as well as the rest of the wiring needed to utilize a trailer brake controller.
