How To Use Gen-Y Pin Box With PullRite SuperGlide 5th Wheel Hitch 2714

Question:

We have a pullrite slide hitch 2714 and would like to convert our Lippert 1621 to a Gen-y pin box. How do we get this fitted to work with our slide hitch? We have a 2019 Ford F250 short bed. Thank you.

The Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel Pin Box # 325-GH-8040 is going to be what you want. This is a direct replacement for the Lippert 1621 Pin Box. The Gen-Y has a built-in shock absorber that limits bounce and jarring up-and-down motion. This has a towing capacity of 18,000 lbs and a pin weight capacity of 3,500 lbs. My contact at Gen-Y confirmed that it will work with the Pullrite slider hitch, however, you may need Gen-Y Capture Plate for PullRite 5th Wheel Sliding Hitches # GY98FR to prevent your king pin from rotating inside the 5th wheel hitch.
