Solution for Carrying Bikes on 2020 Acura MDX with 20" Spare Tire Stored Under Vehicle

Question:

Im picking up a 2020 Acura MDX and would like to purchase a hitch from you, mainly used as a bike carrier.My question is the vehicle comes with 20inch wheels, and I have no idea what spare is under the vehicle. Will the size of the spare concern me? Thanks

I may have an alternative solution for you to carry bikes, but the short answer to your question is-Yes; there is cause for concern here. For that reason, the 20" spare tire on your 2020 Acura MDX would need to be stored inside of the vehicle when using the Curt # C13146, or any of the other hitches available for your vehicle.

Instead of using a hitch mounted bike rack you could use a trunk mounted rack like the Saris Bones EX # SA803, which is a great alternative that will provide you with the same basic functionality of a hitch mounted rack. Saris is one of the pioneers of vehicle mounted bike racks, and they make a great looking and durable rack.
