Troubleshooting Voyager Brake Controller that Wont Show Red/Orange
Question:
Hello, I have 1998 Chev Serria pickup that pulls a trailwests horse trailer. We have the Voyager controller which has served us very well until recently. The controller shows a green light when pulled into the trailer. However l have lost the ability to adjust the controller to get a orange or red stays green, so essentially no brakes on the trailer. I have visually checked for corrosion in both plugs, all looks fine, and the brake lights on both units are working fine as well. Any thoughts?

Sometimes brake controllers like your Voyager # 39510 just need to be unplugged for a few seconds and then plugged back into allow a reset to clear out internal bugs. You might try that as a hopefully easy solution. The other thing to check it so make sure the controller is sitting within it's level range that it needs to be. I attached a picture that shows the range it needs to be at.
If all else fails it's probably time for a new controller as yours may have developed an internal problem. The Brake EVN # TK63VR is a really great option that has a more advanced inertia sensor that's also priced great.
