Recommended Solution to Add 7 Way Trailer Harness for Trailer Without Brakes to 2017 BMW X5
Question:
Hi, I have a 7 pin blade on my trailer no brakes needed though and a 4 pin flat on my car wire harness. So I need a 4 pin flat to 7 pin blade adapter. Which adapters would work? Thanks

We've got just what you're looking for; I recommend using the Hopkins Endurance Quick-Install Trailer Connector Adapter - 4-Way Flat to 7-Blade # HM47200, which will allow you to plug your existing 4 way in and give you a 7 way plug to use with your trailer. You will need to make the ground connection on the new trailer wiring harness, but the other wires can be taped up and left to the side. In order to mount this harness I recommend using the Mounting Bracket for 7-Way # 18138.
I've linked some review videos of these parts for you to have a look at.
