Best Roof Rack and Bike Rack for a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

im looking for a roof rack for a couple of mountain bikes for a 2016 chevy silverado 2500 crew cab. do you have any links that are a complete package or do you have to do all the purchasing separately? ive never had a roof rack so dont really know what i am looking at as far as what i would all need.

I'm happy to help with getting all of this figured out. There are quite a few variations of crossbars for the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, especially when considering all of the different brands. One of our best brands is Yakima, so I'll focus on them for your options.

One thing you need to know is that your vehicle style can affect what's available for you. For the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, you need to know if you have a Crew Cab, Double Cab, or Regular Cab.

If you have either the Crew or Double, then I recommend the Yakima JetStream bars, part # Y00426. These are aero-style bars, which are compatible with most accessories, minimizes wind drag and noise, and look very stylish. I've linked to a video review of these below.

In order to mount these to the roof, you will need two additional pieces (the towers and fit kit). For the towers, this setup uses the BaseLine Towers, part # Y28TR. For the fit kit, use the BaseClip Fit Kit, part # Y06122. To make this easier for you, I've linked to a page below that has all three parts available as a set.

If you have the Regular Cab, you won't be able to fit a rack on your roof. Instead, you will need to mount it to the truck bed. Yakima has the BedRock HD Truck Bed Rack, part # Y01160-59. I've linked to a video review of this as well. As an aside, if you decide that you like the idea of dong this better than a roof rack, you can use these for both the Crew and Double Cab, too.

For the bike carrier, I recommend the Yakima FrontLoader Wheel Mount Bike Carrier, part # Y02103. This will mount to either aero bars or square bars, so either setup from above will work with this carrier. It mounts the bike by the wheel, so you won't need to worry about taking the wheel off like other roof rack bike carriers. I've linked to a video review of this, too.

Unfortunately, there is no "complete package" that includes the bars along with a bike carrier. You will need to add both the roof rack setup and the carrier separately.
