Can You Mount The TST TPMS Signal Booster On The Back Of The Towing Vehicle?
Question:
Is there any reason the tst tpms signal booster should not be mounted on the tow vehicle to better deal with multiple trailers? I have a 40 ft 5th wheel, a dump trailer and flatbed all of which would benefit from tire monitoring and it would seem 1 repeater/ booster should be able to handle the complete package.

In mounting the signal booster for Truck System Technologies RV Tire Pressure Monitoring System # TST-507-FT-6-C, you ideally want it on the front end of the trailer that you are pulling in order to ensure a good signal. However, I did confirm with my contact at TST that you are able to mount the signal booster on the back of your pickup. You could then tap into the trailer hitch wiring to get the 12V that is needed to power it.
You can use this system with up to 38 tires by adding extra sensors. The # TST-507-FT-6-C comes with 6 sensors, which should be enough for one of your trailers. However, # TST-507-FT-S2 will add 2 extra sensors to your setup if necessary.
I have attached an installation video that may help you out with this process.
