How To Fix Faulty Brake Output Wiring For Trailer
Question:
i had a seven way put on my 2019 jeep wrangler and the blue wire isnt working to my trailer brake every thing else is working lights,signals,12v power, neutral the brake control i have on there says SH.Will the wireless controller work without the output to the electric brake

SH code on the brake controller usually means that there is a short somewhere in the brake wire.
I would start at the 7 way plug at the back of the vehicle and test everything for function by using a 7 Way Tester # PK12741. If the issue is on the vehicle side, look for a damaged wire in the brake circuit. If you cannot isolate the issue then you could rewire the brake wire by using # 10-1-1.
If the vehicle wiring functions correctly, then you know the issue is on the trailer side. Look for pinched or severed wires on the trailer's brake wiring, you may need to rewire the brake circuit using # 10-1-1 as mentioned above.
If all the wiring checks out alright, then you will want to test the trailer brakes IF they are electric. I am posting a link to help you through the electric brake diagnostic procedure.
To answer your question about the wireless brake controller, such as the Curt Echo # C51180, yes this will work without brake output wiring coming from the vehicle for electric and electric-over-hydraulic braking systems. As long as you have a functioning 7 Way plug at the back of your vehicle with the 12V circuit active, then the Curt Echo # C51180 can plug in and power your trailer's brakes. This can easily be controlled and set-up using an app on your phone. It also has a safety feature that allows it to function even if your phone loses connection.
I have included a demonstration video for this product.
