does etrailer not carry the Andersen AM3217 Ultimate 5th Wheel Connection anymore?

We do not. We do carry the Ultimate 5th wheel connection that would attach to above-bed 5th wheel rails, part # AM3200, but not the model that would attach to a gooseneck ball.

We offer a similar item from Demco which we believe is a superior product. The Demco Recon, part # DM8550045 provides dampening for a smooth ride, and offers an actual skid plate and 5th wheel head that provides extra lateral stability and support for the pin box, which places less stress on the 5th wheel's frame.

The Recon is heavier than the Andersen product, but the Recon easily breaks down into 2 pieces for easy handling by one person by removing a single pin.
