Does Curt Front Hitch for 2018 Toyota 4Runner TRD Require Removing Skid Plate to Install
Question:
Will the hitch #c31076 for a 2018 4runner TRD require the removal of the skid plate or will the skid plate have to be modified? I read somewhere that you cant use the hitch and the TRD skid plate together Thanks

Expert Reply:
The front skid plate you have on your 2018 Toyota 4Runner TRD will need to be removed in order to install a front mount trailer hitch like the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C31076. This has to do with where the hitch mounts in relation to the skid plate and the lack of space for both to attach. There will be no way to install a front mount hitch on the vehicle without either removing or modifying the skid plate.
