Recommended 7-Way Connector Install Kit And Trailer Brake Controller For 2021 Hyundai Palisade
Question:
Hello, We have 2021 Hyundai Palisade we are looking to purchase a travel trailer. First we need a brake controller. Need to meet the following. 1. Minimum interference with the vehicle electrical system. My vehicle has four flat trailer wiring. 2. I will not cut any holes in the dash. I have installed several brake controllers over the years and have never cut any holes for any reason. You all seem to have the largest variety of controllers on the web. What do you recommend? Thank you, Neil

I can definitely understand not wanting to make any permanent modifications to your new 2021 Hyundai Palisade, and luckily we have a solution that meets all of your requirements.
Since you already have a 4-way connector installed, I recommend the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation # ETBC7L which will plug into your existing connector, and will only require you to run a power wire to the vehicle's battery with the included 40 amp circuit breaker, and ground the white ground wire to your vehicle's frame.
For a trailer brake controller I highly recommend the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 which mounts directly to the newly installed 7-way connector and will not require any holes to be cut anywhere on your vehicle. You will be able to control the # C51180 by the user-friendly app. This trailer brake controller can also be used on any vehicle with a functioning 7-way connector, making it a great investment.
Lastly you will need a ball mount, hitch ball, and hitch pin and clip to tow your travel trailer. I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900 which includes two ball mounts, two hitch balls, and two hitch pins and clips.
I included videos for all of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
