Threaded Anti Rattle Bolt For A Schwinn Bike Rack

Question:

I need an anti rattle assembly slide in bracket and threaded pin to tighten up my 1-1/4” Schwinn bike rack into my 2” Curt receiver as I lost the original one. I am unsure as to which part you sell would be the best solution Thanks in advance

Expert Reply:

If the bike rack itself is not threaded then I recommend the SilentACT Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Lock - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches Item # SHP2082. This is designed to work with 1-1/4" and 2" hitches, has a threaded block and spring that slide into the end of the bike rack which allow you to thread the bolt through the hitch and rack, into the plate and tighten down. It also comes with a lock and two keys.

We do not carry the Schwinn brand so you would need to contact the manufacturer to get the correct threaded pin. The threaded pins for the bike racks are not universal so they do not work with any bike rack. Typically the threads are different between manufacturers.
