Recommended Anti-Sway Weight Distribution Hitch for Trailer With 1,100 lb Tongue Weight
Question:
I have a 2005 ram 2500 with air bags, pulling a 38 foot keystone outback 1100 pound hitch weight around 8000 trailer weight. I need a anti sway hitch, what do you recommend ? I have been running weight distribution hitch but no sway control.

Expert Reply:
For your trailer with a 1,100 lb total tongue weight, the weight distribution hitch I highly recommend is the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution with 2-Point Sway Control # FA92-00-1200.
The two points of sway control on the e2 are at the brackets, and the friction is what creates the outstanding sway control of this system. It is also really easy to set up compared to systems that use chains, and is easily the best value among weight distribution hitches, with a unique combination of relative cost-effectiveness and high quality.
As you can see by the reviews on the product page of the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution with 2-Point Sway Control # FA92-00-1200, our customers who have used it have given it a nearly 5-star rating.
It comes with a shank but you will need a hitch ball as well, the 2-5/16" Hitch Ball # EQ91-00-6120.
The only other thing we recommend is using a socket to help ease the install of the hitch ball, the Thin Walled Socket # EQ70-00-4800.
I have added links below to video reviews for you to check out as well if you'd like.
