Using Your P3 with a New 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Question:
I have a P3 in my 2008 Toyota Highlander Ltd and have been very happy with it towing a 20 flying cloud. However I am selling it and buying a 2020 Jeep GC Limited. Can I simply remove ther p3 and bracket, unplug it and have a mechanic install the p3 in the Jeep. The Jeep comes with a 7/4 pin wiring harness. Do you sell just the wiring/p3 plug harness or otherwise that I will need for the new install. Is there an upgrade model, tho my 2016 model seems to be current and does everything I need it to do and does it wonderfully! Thanks

The Tekonsha P3, part # 90195, truly is a great brake controller. It's the latest model, and as you said, will do everything you need it to do wonderfully.
If you want to take your existing P3 and transfer it over to your new 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee, you can. Just as you said, you can remove it and the bracket and use the wiring adapter for your new Jeep to install it. That adapter is part # TK93VR. This will hook up to the plug in the Jeep.
I've linked to a video installation of this adapter along with the P3 for your reference.
